First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce

This Sunday, August 18th, we start a new sermon series, “Glory Days.” This series will consist of four weekly messages. We won't be talking about going back to the “Good Old Days” or talking about “That Old Time Religion,” but rather going back to a time when our relationship with Jesus was new and exciting.

During the next four weeks we are going to rediscover the foundational elements of our relationship with God through Jesus Christ his son. This study, approached in a humble and holy manner, can reinvigorate us and reignite our passion for serving others.

Week one Message entitled, “That Old Time Religion,” won't be talking about how can return to the “Good Old Days,” but rather, how we can return to the time in our lives when we just accepted Christ.

The most important thing that we can get out of the Bible is that God wants a personal relationship with each person. Hebrews chapter 10 is going to identify ways in which you and I can draw closer to God.

You see, God is always near. He always has been! The real problem is we have moved far away from God and need to draw near to him.

So, join us this coming Sunday, August 18, and recover that relationship that you once had with the Lord that gave you so much hope, courage, and confidence.

Maybe you've never accepted Christ, but you would like to know more about what the Bible teaches. This Sunday would be a great place to start. Actually, any Sunday is a good place to start, but this coming Sunday is going to be especially helpful in that endeavor.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday morning.

“ The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”

— 2 Peter 3:9

Scripture reminds us God is actively pursuing those he loves with a free gift!
